The Asian semiconductor market is among the most technologically
aggressive in the world and Photronics is actively expanding operations to meet the
growing demand for 130nm and 90nm technologies. Our first suite of Nano Technology Line
tools to support high-volume production at 90nm was installed in our state-of-the-art
manufacturing facility in Taiwan. Our acquisition of PKL Co., Ltd., a leading Korean
photomask manufacturer, added much needed capacity to our existing facilities in Singapore
and Taiwan. It now permits Photronics to field the photomask industry’s most
comprehensive solution network for the region’s fastest growing foundry industry as
well as for major individual customers.
Presently, Photronics is in the process of constructing its first
photomask
fabrication facility in Shanghai, China.
Construction of the new facility is expected to be completed in 2006.
